Position: Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA)
Location: Remote in the State of Indiana (with opportunities for in-person)
Contract Type: 1099 (Independent Contractor)
Compensation: 60/40 split (Counselor/Practice), with clinical hours billed at $90 per hour

About Aura Counseling and Wellness:
Aura Counseling and Wellness is a private practice dedicated to providing holistic, trauma-informed care that empowers individuals in their journey to wellness and recovery. We are a small, dynamic practice currently expanding our offerings and launching a new Employee Assistance Program (EAP) model aimed at bringing mental health support to the workplace. At Aura, we focus on depathologizing mental health, utilizing a strengths-based approach, and empowering clients through mental health and trauma recovery.

Job Description:
We are seeking two motivated and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associates (LMHCAs) who share our values and approach to therapy. As part of our growing practice, you will have the opportunity to work under the guidance and supervision of Brittany Snyder, LMHC, the owner of Aura Counseling and Wellness, to help support clients while gaining the clinical hours necessary for full licensure.

 

This is a 1099 contract position, and hours will vary based on clinical demand. You will work with a diverse client base, providing therapy sessions and supporting the development of our upcoming small business EAP model. The ideal candidate will be passionate about a holistic, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, while working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual therapy sessions to clients using a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach.

  • Collaborate with the team to help implement and launch Aura’s new EAP model.

  • Maintain clinical documentation and meet all legal and ethical standards.

  • Attend weekly supervision sessions for guidance, clinical development, and support.

  • Utilize a depathologizing approach to mental health and empower clients in their recovery journey.

 

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in the state of [Your State].

  • Must share similar values in therapy, including a strengths-based approach, depathologizing mental health, and empowering client recovery.

  • Trauma-informed approach to therapy.

  • Motivated and committed to building a career in private practice.

  • Ability to work independently as an independent contractor (1099).

  • Availability to see clients on a flexible schedule, with hours varying based on clinical demand.​
